We started in 2003 selling Beverly International supplements from Columbus OH, just 90 miles north of the Beverly headquarters in Cold Spring KY. We built up a solid base of satisfied and loyal Beverly Customers by offering very good prices, easy $5.00 flat rate Priority Mail shipping, and fast delivery.

        In December 2007 we started adding more supplement brands from Europa Sports, the largest wholesale-to-the-trade distributor in the country. We now have quick access to their several hundred lines of supplements from the new Europa facility 90 miles north of us in Strongsville OH. So we have added more premium brands of supplements, and have the full line of products, not just a few hot items. Some older supplement lines have become so popular that you can buy them cheap at your local WalMart, WallGreen's, etc so we don't sell them here. The top 20 supplement brands account for over 90% of the bodybuilding market. There is no point in stocking a few hundred lines of junk that nobody buys. It just gets old and drives up our operating cost.

        We keep a large stock of all items that we sell. Our central location is a real advantage when we run low, because we can restock with next day delivery from Beverly and Europa - and we are close enough that we do not pay shipping charges which means you also pay less for the products.
       
        Most supplement sites are just "drop-ship" web fronts that never see or handle the products on their sites.  For a hefty fee a mega-distributor sets up the cyber "affiliate" with a knock-off website, directly receives all of the "affiliate's" orders, packs & ships the product in the "affiliate's" name, answers the "affiliate's" 800 number, and sends the cyber "affiliate" a commission check at the end of the month. These are not supplement stores, they are simply traffic routers. Nobody is there. It is no coincidence that they all have the same brand and catergory drop down menus in the same place. Some even have the "afiliate" program link at the bottom of the home page.

                Check the "About Us" page on those other sites 
        Is there a name? a photo? a real person anywhere on the site? Do they even have an "About Us" page - many do not. That's becasue they are traffic routers - not real supplement stores. And they expect you to believe that your address, phone number and credit card are safe with them? With who? Who did you give that information to? Do you really expect to receive that order in a few days? And if you don't, who will take care of that?
        With Google Checkout we do not get your credit card  - just your address. And if for some reason you do not receive a purchase that you made through Google Checkout, Google will contact the seller for you and arbitrate the issue.  Google does not want merchants using them to rip off their customers.

        No gimmicks, no hidden handling charges, no complicated shipping formulas. You do not have to give up your credit card then wait until checkout to for the shipping cost surprise. What a scam. Why would you buy from a place like that?
        Compare our $5.00 flat rate Priority Mail with $6.00, or $10.00, or full UPS charges, or $10.00 plus $5.00 for every 5 pounds over 10 pounds, or $6.00 for 10-day parcel post or UPS ground. For us, it's $5.00 - Priority Mail - every order. And the post office accepts and delivers packages on Saturday!
        And we send your order out on the next post office business day, and often the same day if we get the order early. Many sites want 5 days to send out your order since they do not keep anything in stock. Then it can take another week to 10 days in transit.

                Our products are current
        When a supplement site shows you outdated product pictures, don't you wonder how fresh your order will be? Example: Beverly has completely changed the design and graphics of their lables twice in the past 5 years.  If you are looking at a product lable from the nineties, you should ask if anyone at that site is paying attention to what they are selling - or if they care.

                So who will you buy from?
        You know who I am.   At 55, I still work out and compete and I use the products that I sell. And as you probably noticed, I do the website myself and in a way that I think is most useful for our customers. I have a lot of pictures on the site because I think you should know who you are dealing with. If we had a store in a shopping center, I would be greeting you when you walked in. And all of the info and links on the site - that's what I would be telling you in person.

         When you order from Vince's Muscle Shop, I will be taking care of you. I will pack and send your products myself - just like the minimum-wage guy at the mega-distributor. Seriously, it is just not that hard or that complicated. The hard part is offering the best prices and shipping that we can while still making some reasonable profit. In that regard, we try our best.
